Beaver Street Fisheries
In a significant enhancement for Beaver Street Fisheries, a premier seafood packaging facility in Jacksonville, Florida, our project involved a comprehensive interior renovation to modernize and expand its capabilities. The project scope encompassed the design and renovation of an existing freezer to better serve the facility's needs, including adding a new electrical room, a revamped production space of 9,300 square feet, and an enhanced freezer storage area spanning 1,700 square feet.
The facility, known for receiving bulk seafood and repackaging it for retail distribution, now boasts an improved production room, freezer, maintenance closet, and electrical room. Key construction materials featured in this project included new concrete flooring, insulated metal panel (IMP) walls, ceilings, and advanced refrigeration equipment, ensuring a blend of durability and efficiency.
A pivotal phase of the project saw the transformation of an 11,000-square-foot section of an existing freezer into a state-of-the-art tempering room. This new space is dedicated to the processing and packaging of seafood, enhancing the facility's throughput and product handling capabilities. Our team expertly designed and installed an ammonia refrigeration system, incorporating new units and piping that integrate seamlessly with the existing infrastructure. Additionally, a new IMP dividing wall was constructed, with new doors and comprehensive underground plumbing and floor drains, to support the facility's expanded operations.
